The Bartlett Foundation Middle School Vocal Program (Grades 7-9) - Merit Awards
AWARDS:
Up to four equal awards are given annually

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:
Students who are in grades 7-9 who attend Berks Co. Schools and reside in Berks Co.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
An audition of at least five minutes and sight reading may be required
Teachers may not accompany students for this scholarship
Deadline: January 31, 2008, Auditions are Sunday, March 2, 2008


The Bartlett Foundation Middle School Vocal Program ( Grades 7-9) - Need Sensitive Awards
AWARDS:
Multiple awards of $500 each are given annually for summer music camp and private vocal study awards

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:
Vocalists who attend Berks County Schools and reside in Berks County
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
No audition is required, RMF’s Scholarship Committee will determine recipients based
   upon applications & recommendations.
Teachers should mention any financial need in their recommendation
Awards for private piano study are also available for vocalists
Deadline: May 2, 2008, decisions are made by May 16, 2008


Ray & Carole Neag Junior High School Vocal Music Program (Grades 7-9)
Need-Sensitive Award

AWARDS:
Two awards of $500 each are given annually

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:
Students who are in grades 7-9 who take, or plan to initiate, vocal music lessons
Students who attend Berks County Schools and reside in Berks County
Students who have already received this scholarship are encouraged to re-apply

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
No audition is required, RMF’s Scholarship Committee will determine recipients based upon applications & recommendations.
Teachers should mention any financial need in their recommendation
Deadline: May 2, 2008, decisions are made by May 16, 2008


Irvin & Lois E. Cohen Vocal Music Summer Camp Program (Grades 7-11)
Need-Sensitive Awards
AWARDS:
Two awards of $500 each are given annually

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:
Vocalists in grades 7-11 who attend Berks Co. Schools and reside in Berks County
Students who have already received this scholarship are encouraged to re-apply

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
No audition is required, RMF’s Scholarship Committee will determine recipients based upon applications & recommendations.
Teachers should mention any financial need in their recommendation
Camp program will feature any combination of vocal music (classical, semi-classical or applied to music theater)
Deadline: May 2, 2008, decisions are made by May 16, 2008



Isabel W. Sondheim Memorial Scholarship (Grades 10-12 & College Students)

AWARDS: Three awards are given annually

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS
Students in grades 10-12, college or a music conservatory
Students who reside in Berks County or graduated from a Berks County School
Students who excel in
classical or semi-classical vocal arts

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Awards must be used to further the student’s instruction/education in the vocal music field.
Awards will be paid directly to the student’s private music teacher or to the institution at which the student is enrolled.

Deadline: March 14, 2008, Auditions will be held April 5, 2008
