SUMMER CAMP/PRIVATE STUDY AWARDS
Let’s face it – paying for music lessons, summer
camp, other activities and the transportation it
takes to get all these places is expensive. In 2003
RMF recognized the sacrifices families make to
provide a sound music experience for their children
with the founding of its “need-sensitive” program,
which offers opportunities for summer music camp,
private music lessons and instrument upgrades.
RMF does not ask for a financial disclosure with
applications. Instead, the student’s essay or
teacher recommendation should include any financial
hardships affecting the family. Past examples have
included single parent families, multiple siblings,
siblings in college or a recent job loss.
